Is it possible to clean matted or soiled suede leather jackets? It is from the early 40's?

- Brush it first with a suede brush, these are readily available and only a couple of dollars. Then make a solution of white vinegar and water. 50/50. Sponge it over the jacket, without soaking, taking particular care of the soiled sections. Dry it off on a coat hanger inside. That will also get rid of any mildew that may be on your jacket.
- Find a good leather shop that works on real leather and ask. Most will tell you what u need to get or how to clean it. Since the suede is older it might fall apart when your cleaning it. (storage of the item should have been better)
- It's best to have it professionally cleaned at dry cleaners. It will probably be expensive but worth it.
