Italia Jackets

Can you dry clean using a tumble dryer for suede jackets?

I have a suede brown jacket that has a smoke smell that makes you sick. I have tumble dryer, would this help in somewhat cleaning the jacket? I don't want to use water because that will ruin it

  1. Dry Cleaning simply means that water is not used in the cleaning process. Generally, they use solvents to remove stains. The simplest cure for a suede jacket is to sprinkle it with bicarbonate of soda - and leave it for as long as possible (at least a couple of days). The bicarbonate should absorb the smell. Shake the jacket off and give it a good brush (with a soft hairbrush - like a baby's brush), and then leave to hang out in the open for a while. Certainly - DON'T use water. It will leave a mark.
  2. I own a heavy suede coat i wash all the time in washer on pr emanate press cycle and dry on gentle cycle aways comes out fine.
