how do u get ink pen out of suede, leather jackets?

i have blue,black,and red ink on my new suede, leather jacket and would like to restore to the perfect condition again. please help if u can..

use a cloth n dip it in plain vinegar, clean it n leave it to dry. (u can also add lemon citrus if the mark is stronger)
Hair spray takes ink stains out of cloth and carpet.(Try this on the underside first, "just in case"). I haven't yet had to use it on suede. Also, gently sanding suede with real fine sandpaper will clean it up good as new. I have used this method on shoes before and it works well. Again, I have not tried to remove ink with it. If you have any doubts at all; and especially if this is not ball point ink you are speaking of, have it professionally cleaned. It may be costly, but so is the cost of replacing the jacket. I agree with JMiller's answer....Hairspray works. Works to get ink out of a lot of things.

Although the suggestoin of hairspray is a good one for cloth, that is subsequently run through a washing machine, or auto mechanics hand cleaner, these may cause further stains in leather, especially suede. Your best bet is a professional dry cleaner. It's cheaper then replacing the jacket. They'll be usually be upfront if they don't think it will come out.

Ink is about the worst stain on suede and leather. Do not use any type of liquid on it because it will make it even worse. I would take it to a dry cleaner who specializes in suede and leather.
