How does one clean a SUEDE jacket at home?

Don't wish to spend a lot at a cleaners that would take a Suede garment. It is a older light color jacket that appears dusty and with a bit of mild dirt type staining around the sleeves. Thank you.

1. Try a suede brush. It has soft metal bristles and grooms the suede leather. I tried a special suede sponge but it didn't do as well as the brush.
2. They make soft brushes for cleaning suede. Usually find them in the shoe shine section, or check with your local cobbler. But you can use a terry cloth towel, soft toothbrush, even an eraser. Just be gentle. The staining on the sleeves may need professional help. Your drycleaner can take care it. It's something you'll need to do every few years anyway. It's probably less cost than you think. And you end up with a great looking garment.
