Is the adult entertainment business catering for females?

The days of the raincoat crowd are long gone and adult entertainment being easily accessible without fear of embarrassment and ridicule, this has opened up adult entertainment and made it easy to access for the people who wouldn't have done so before, mainly women is their droves! But does the adult entertainment business give women what they really want?

  1. With more women directing porn now,we might see more pornography aimed at women. I haven't seen much porn that appealed to me,so if I'd be all for it.
  2. 85% of consumer spending is controlled by women, and porn may be the only area where that figure is turned on its head! It's the only one I can think of, at any rate. They'd be fools not to market to women, but I'm not sure how successful they'd be. The female market for porn may be limited.
  3. Yes it does. The only women I hear crying on the Tyra show about how horrible their life was in the Porn industry are the ones that don't get booked anymore. I bet you $100,000 you want see Jenna Jameson crying about her multimillionaire career. Any woman who says she wanted out of the porn industry after she was out had every opportunity to leave. But why did they stay longer? To get to the millions of dollars. The ones that didn't come out crying rape! Its BS if you ask me. Its a double standard in the fullest. Men only get paid maybe $250 per scene but yet they are seen as the aggressors and the bad guys who are making the woman do it. Most male porn stars (if you can call them that, males are not even stars in porn) only do it to pay for college, their career is very short lived. While a woman can stay in the porn industry well into her 50's many people like "granny porn" but an older guy, lets be honest, no one wants to see him. If I was a female porn star and my money depended on how well the shoot goes, the guy better fuck me good or else...
  4. Yeah. They serve sausages.
  5. I think it depends on the type of woman. Often if a woman were to watch porn she would probably want to see a ton of fore play and loving type gestures. Then they may want to watch a long loving sex scene as well. Some women(like me) enjoy the way it has been. I enjoy the pool guy coming over an having me rough on the deck chair-- no foreplay just male oriented terrible acting bad scripted porn! This is because I am not interested in whether the man likes the woman, all I care is that he wants her. Some women are more turned on by a man worshiping them so to speak so I think this is what they want. This is what I think is called "soft core" So I guess in a way yes the industry has been starting to expand its target margin for viewers. It is becoming increasingly acceptable for women to not only enjoy, but look for and initiate the experience. I see an awful lot more women entering the adult book and gift stores these days too. Great question man!
